Wilson Transformer Company offers a comprehensive sampling, analysis and diagnostic service for all fluid filled equipment, including transformers, on-load tap changers, circuit breakers and equipment that uses SF6 gas.

It is critical that samples are taken by skilled technicians and are free from contamination to ensure that the integrity of the samples are not compromised. As such, all fluid samples are taken with a glass syringe for moisture and DGA (in accordance with IEC 60567) and one litre plastic bottle for other tests.  SF6 samples are taken using a purpose built evacuated stainless steel container.

The samples are sent to TJ|H2b Analytical Services, a NATA certified laboratory, for comprehensive analysis and diagnosis. TJ|H2b have pioneered proprietary condition-based diagnostics that have been proven in hundreds of thousands of tests worldwide, saving customers millions of dollars by accuratelydiagnosing the condition of the assets lowering maintenance costs and identifying issues early so preventative actions can be taken to avoid catastrophic failures.

Wilson Transformer Company's technicians also specialise in taking paper and pressboard samples from accessible locations within transformers to test the paper condition which is one indication of the remaining life of the cellulose insulating systems.  Our technicians re-paper leads from sample locations.
